ToolScout

Connect ToolScout to your AI assistant

ToolScout is a read-only software decision engine. Once connected, you can ask your assistant which software to buy, compare named products, find alternatives and check prices, with reasons and recorded prices. It never buys, installs or changes anything.

Server URL (streamable HTTP, no sign-in needed) https://trytoolscout.org/mcp

What you can ask

  • decide_software: what to buy or shortlist for a job, budget, team size and existing tools.
  • compare_software: compare two to four named products for your situation.
  • find_alternatives: you want to leave a product and need options with trade-offs.
  • check_software: prices, free plans, AI assistant and MCP support, integrations and recent changes for named products.

Facts that cannot be verified are flagged as unverified, never invented. Rankings are independent of any affiliate relationship.
