Some ToolScout links may generate a commission when someone signs up or purchases through them. This does not increase the price paid by the user.
How it works
When an affiliate relationship is active, ToolScout routes the outbound visit through a tracking redirect before sending the visitor to the provider. This allows the project to measure genuine outbound activity and, where supported by the provider, receive a referral commission.
What affiliate status does not mean
- A tool does not receive a better recommendation because it pays a commission.
- Tools can be listed even when ToolScout has no affiliate relationship with them.
- Affiliate availability is kept separate from the recommendation scoring model.
How recommendations are chosen
ToolScout uses user needs, category relevance and practical criteria such as automation, integrations, ease of use, sales capability, research depth, marketing capability and pricing signals. See the full methodology for more detail.
Keeping the site useful
Affiliate revenue can help support hosting, maintenance, verification and content work. The goal is to make the recommendation useful first and commercial second.
